Tiny Prints Inc. was a bootstrapped e-commerce brand selling custom, premium stationery.
I was fortunate to join this start up during the beginning stages. Soon after the creative director was hired, I transitioned from production designer and joined the creative team as photographer.
Tiny Prints Inc. as a whole had 3 brands. Their main markets were Baby Announcements, invitations, Christmas Holiday, Wedding and Greeting Cards. I was in charge of the weekly homepage and landing page photography refreshes.
Tiny Prints was leading the industry for Baby Announcements and Invitations. The imagery on the website needed to show less stock lifestyle photography and more of our products.
We started photographing products with simple props with limited styling. We developed a photography style guide, branding guidelines and shooting angles. This helped with the hierarchy of website photography. Homepage hero images are more impactful than a category page hero. As a whole, with these guides set in place, this helped with efficiency in our process – from merchandising choosing the correct cards for the layout to the copywriter knowing how much space to work with.
I helped with a photography style guide to ensure consistency and efficiency in our process.
Print marketing was an important aspect of our marketing strategy. Customers viewed these marketing pieces via package print inserts, magazine ads, and through partners.
